Section 1:  Rationale (approx. 100 words)
Since I started college and over the past seven units I have developed my photography skills and produced a wide range and style of work. I have learnt about and produced work in all different kinds of genre such as, portraits, landscapes and made some advertisement campaign product shoots. I have researched into well-known and successful photographers and looked into their work like how they create it and the paths they have taken in their life. I have also learnt that by taking a photo it doesn’t restrict you to the canvas and composition that you originally composed. Before the first seven units I had basic photo editing skills, I have now extended my skills of photo editing in Photoshop and light room and even have some experience of using premiere pro, after effect and illustrator.
Section 2: Project Concept (approx. 200 words)
The concept I want to portray through my final major project will be based on how the landscapes and environments can change. So it will mainly look into the change in an environment throughout the day and maybe even over a longer time span. I will also look at how time can affect a place and how this changes. My final major project will involve digital responses, using DSLR’s and digital editing techniques such as, the use of Photoshop and Lightroom to present work.
During the time that the final major project takes place I will present and document my work in an online blog. I will include my research into various techniques and different landscape and seascape photographers, every piece of work that I produce and the analysis and annotation that will explain and link my work in how it was made and who it was inspired by.
I will be using the photographic resources such as, a digital camera, computer to research into the topic and related photographer. Also to edit my photos and print work out so it can be presented into my sketchbook or blog. I may use some other professional materials to print and present my final piece on
Section 3: Evaluation (approx. 50 words)
I will reflect on all of my work that I will produce throughout the process of the final major project. I will evaluate and annotate what I have done and why I have done it, explaining the inspiration behind it. Toward the end of the project I will review the overall project being at the end it will give me help to see where I can go forwards next, this will be done in my sketchbook or blog. By doing these evaluations it will help me to decide and guide me on where I will go next and what I could change to improve.
